Weather

New Zealand has a maritime climate and local weather is influenced by atmospheric patterns of a cyclical nature, and the local geography. This produces prevailing weather patterns ranging from beautiful fine hot sunny days to cool windy winds from the north or south, often accompanied by rain. Temperatures in January- February range from 20–35 degree s centigrade in the daytime with cooler temperatures 15-20 degrees in the evening.

We advise a layered approach with some light summer clothes together with warmer jerseys and trousers and wind/rain jackets.  Makes for challenging shooting conditions at the Seddon Range, check out our weather links below.

New Zealand has high levels of ultraviolet (UV radiation) and we recommend using SPF30-SPF50 sunscreen, and wearing hats.

Be SunSmart Slip, Slop, Slap and Wrap.  Protect your skin and eyes from the sun's damaging rays (UV radiation).
